Many candles on the shelf are made from paraffin, a petroleum byproduct, and scented with blends nobody explains. Ours start with soy wax from USA-grown soybeans and premium fragrance oils, and every one is poured by hand in small batches at our shop in Derry, New Hampshire. Soy wax is a plant-based alternative to petroleum-based paraffin, but a candle is more than its wax. Fragrance, dyes, and wick materials matter too, which is why we spell out what ours leave out: paraffin, phthalates, parabens, and formaldehyde.
